Welcome one and all to Our Daisy Troop Blog! We are a Daisy Troop in the greater Los Angeles Area and we are all filled with anticipation as this year promises to be an exciting year. We have lots planned and still lots of planning to do. And we look forward to sharing it all with you.
We are a brand new troop of 11 Kindergarten's and First Graders. To date we have attended two troop meetings, a Girl Scout Cookie Kick-Off and some of us attended the Build A Bear Workshop, where the girls got to make their own Girl Scout Bear.
But to really kick off this blog and our new year, we are officially in cookie selling mode. Yep, it is that time of year again, to buy some Girl Scout cookies. So please be on the look out for a girl scout in your area OR if you know us personally, please track us down.
At our last meeting we all earned the Daisy Blue Promise Center of our learning petals. What are learning petals you might ask? Well as Daisies we earn petal patches that are placed on the tunics we wear (our Daisy uniform). Each petal demonstrates a meaning that we've been introduced to or have learned as a Daisy. Such as the meaning of Honesty, Using Resources Wisely, Respecting Authority, Courage and Strength, etc etc. The Blue Promise Center means that we have learned the Girl Scout Promise.
As I said before, we have a lot of fun things planned for this year. So, we hope you'll come back to this blog to hear more about what we're doing and learning as Daisies.
